Craig-Brown-loop

Perceptions of the CB750 as a big tourer were dramatically changed in the inaugural Castrol Six Hour Race at Amaroo Park in October 1970. Kiwi novice racer Craig Brown set the pace and looked set for a dramatic victory until a botched pit stop to change brake pads ruined his chances. The following year the Honda formed the bulk of the Unlimited Class entries and took out the race, ridden by Bryan Hindle and Clive Knight.
